Swap in tequila or mezcal for vodka to turn a classic bloody mary into a bloody maria.
Combine 4 cupsÂ tomato juice, 2 tablespoonsÂ horseradish, 4 dashesÂ Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoonÂ ketchup, the juice of 1Â lemon, a few shakes ofÂ hot sauceÂ and someÂ pepperÂ in a pitcher. Stir in 1 cupÂ tequila or mezcalÂ and chill until ready to serve. Pour into six ice-filled glasses. Garnish withÂ lemon wedgesÂ and/orÂ celery sticks.
