Get Yo’ Man Chicken

2013-02-05

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 chicken thighs, skinless
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can crushed tomatoes in thick puree
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon lemon-pepper
  • Hot buttered rice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

Method:

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat.

Pat chicken dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper. Brown the chicken, meat-side down first, and turning once, about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate to reserve.

Pour off all but 1 tablespoon of oil from the pan.

Add onion to the pan and saute until tender, roughly 3 minutes. Add the stock and wine and stir, scrapping any brown bits off the bottom of the pan. Turn heat to high and reduce by half, about 3 minutes. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add the dried herbs and lemon pepper. Add the chicken thighs back into the pan.Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 40 minutes.

Remove chicken from liquid and serve on hot buttered rice. Ladle the sauce on top and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

I’m really struggling so god know’s how my little man feels, he is covered in pox from head to toe and I’m wondering whether he may have some in his mouth/throat (is this common?). He is completely off his food so is on a milk diet! He is truly unhappy all day, constant moans and groans which is understandable but where I’m struggling the most is night 4 of no sleep at all! He’s always been a very good sleeper but i’m lucky right now if I get 2 hours! Advice is needed whether I should be letting him a few good cries at night as me and my partner are up and down like yo yo’s! The night’s have been humid so they must be causing some discomfort but I think he is getting used to just bunking in with me and getting carried around all night. Do you think it’s cruel if I leave him to cry it out, i’ve done everything possible to make him more comfy??

I don’t know her that well. We only hung out a couple of times and she acted like she liked me. I bought her flowers to cheer her up because she’s been down lately and she found out my number from a friend. She then texted me saying how much she loved them that they excited her and made her feel special. She then told me it was obvious that Iiked her, but she acts like it doesn’t bother her at all. She later told me she was talking to a guy and didn’t want to lead me on. I’m confused if she didn’t want me pursuing her wouldn’t she just say she’s taken? Anyway, I brushed it off and she texted me all night and she then arranged to see me the next day after work which was today, but when I called her she said she was sick and said she wouldn’t be home until later which was when we could hang out. I told her she should rest instead, but if she insisted I could come over and make her soup. She said aww, k i’ll call u. Does this girl like me?

I have always used Chicken Broth in homemade Chicken Noodle Soup but I want to use Chicken Stock. Does anyone know if you just pour it straight in or if you need to dilute it?

Hi, I am 5’10 and weigh 115lbs. I would like to be around 145lbs in around 6 months time.

    Is it possible?

    Here is my current pics:

    http://s880.photobucket.com/albums/ac7/K999KRA/January%202010/

As an advantage, at least I have low body fat! LOL.
Also, protein shakes, etc – I am open to everything as long as I can gain.

Holiday booked for 1st July 2009. I am not confident walking about topless due to my skinnyness.
Main areas I want to work on are my skinny arms, add mass to my chest (pecs?) and definition to my abs.
I know alot of people say you can only gain 1-2lb of muscle a month, but when I have seen results videos on youtube, (esp P90X) they make huge changes in as little as 90 days! ?
I have never been to a gym and wouldn’t know where to start.

My current fitness / stamina is about average.
eg. I can run a mile in about 6 minutes.
I am not strong, I struggle with dumbells over 20lbs each! I can do about 25-30 press-ups in one go (within about 30-40 seconds, then nothing…..) etc.

So just a regular guy with no experience or good fitness. I just want to bulk up to look better.
*when I said I struggle with 20lbs, I meant I can only do 15 reps with 20lbs dumbells before my arms burn.
Just incase you thought I couldnt lift it at all.
