Ground Beef Pizza

2013-03-12

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1 lb pizza dough (for 1 pizza)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
Method:
In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper at medium-high heat, stirring from time to time, 3 to 5 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain any fat. Set aside.

On a lightly floured surface, lower the dough in a circle of 12 inches of diameter. Put on a greased pizza plate. Spread sauce on the pizza dough. Garnish with beef preparation and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Cook on the lowest grill in a preheated oven of 500 F for about 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and crust is golden and slighly inflated.

My son is very picky and my daughter is about half as picky. Please tell me some recipe ideas that have helped you or someone you know to satisfy another picky child.

    Things my son likes:
Pasta, pizza, cereal, junk food (of course), fruit, and hot dogs. A lot of what he eats is not very good for him and I am trying to implement some changes for all of us, but it is difficult with him being so picky.

    Things he doesn’t like:

    Chicken, ground beef, and vegetables

Thanks for any help you can give.

We are looking to try a little something else rather than our usual dinner menu that we use ground beef with. Usually, we only make burgers, spaghetti, and hotdog chili. In the past, we’ve occasionally made lasagna, meatloaf, and bean chili but none of those took hold.

We like trying new things but nothing too exotic. We are country cookin’ kind of people! :)

If you have any changes for the things I mentioned or any new recipes that we should try, please let me know!

I’m making home made Pizza tonight and I’d like some cool ideas for ingredients.
No olives, anchovies or sea food please.

    Usually I have:
Tomato paste, cheese, ham, hot salami, jalapenos, mushrooms, capsicum, onions and chilli seeds/flakes.

I am a fan of spicy food but I would prefer easily accessible ingredients.

    Thanks a load guys!

If a pizza parlor has other pizza parlors open around it, it will it lower its prices due to the Demand going down? and similarly, if the price of hamburgers goes down due to ground beef going down, pizza parlors will lower their prices because of Demand going down as well?

I want to make a bacon cheeseburger, but I’m going to incorporate the bacon and cheese inside the ground beef before cooking it….Also, I want to use it as a pizza topping…Do I need to cook the bacon a little before putting it in the burger or on top of the pizza? Or will it cook enough by itself inside the burger and/or on top of the pizza?

We have some left over already been cooked ground beef in the fridge. I would like to make something yummy for lunch, we are in CO and apparently its blizzard conditions outside. I have my mom, myself and my 16 year old brother to feed. My brother is very picky, he doesn’t like mushrooms and most veggies. Any suggestions for us?! Thanks!!
Shoot, I forgot to add no sloppy joes, we had them monday night. Also we don’t have the tacos shells. Oops, sorry! Thanks for answering.

I would love some different type of ground beef recipes other than meatloaf, tacos, burgers, etc.
If you have simple goulash or shepherd’s pie recipes I’d appreciate them. I’ve looked online but most seem unappealing. Thank you.
