How To Clarify Butter

Erase all doubt and confusion about the process of clarifying butter with these 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Melt Butter

Melt whole butter over low heat in a stainless steel saucepan.

Step 2: Skim Off the Froth

When milk solids sink to the bottom, skim off the froth that rises to the top.

Step 3: Strain Butter

Strain off the clear, yellow butter into a jar, without adding the sediment of milk solids.
