I couldn’t find tahini at the grocery store. All I could find was hummus dip with tahini in it. Can I use this in my recipe or should I buy some sesame seeds and put them in the food processor to make tahini?

They never want to try anything other than their nasty pork dishes (seriously, all they eat is fucking pork – pork noodles/pancit, pork kebabs, pork adobo, pork pinakbet, pork liver) and that’s all they feed their kids so they get health problems. At my mom’s office mates’ parties, she always has to take home the Mexican and Chinese food because nobody would eat it or take it home and it’d go to waste basically overfeeding me. They overeat too. Am I the only Filipino who eats hummus, falafel, baba ghanoush and wants more of it – something that’s unique and out of the majority? Every time I mention German, Greek, Arab towns or Indian restaurants in Chicago my parents never listen – they just drag me to Chinatown every time we go and look for Filipino restaurants everywhere.

Anything besides stuff like pita, naan or bread. Maybe some vegetables that tastes good with it?
