Healthy avocados are rich in omega fatty acids and a perfect addition to a healthy vegan diet. I add avocado to some part of my daily meal line-up, probably every other day.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 1/3 cups orange juice
    • 1 1/4 cups frozen pineapple
    • 1/2 avocado
    • 1 small frozen banana (or fresh)
    • 1/2 cup ice (we like coconut water ice cubes for this recipe)

    Optional Add-in’s..
1/2 lime, squeezed over top smoothie, or blended right into it
1 Tbsp coconut milk or 2 tsp unsweetened coconut flakes
    dash of cayenne

    garnish: avocado slices

    Method:

    1. Blend. Serve. Sip. Smile.

I’m looking into taking plenty of fish oil containing Omega-3 fatty acids, as I have inflammatory problems. What are the upper limits? Can I take too much?

I just read from another question I asked that omega-3 fatty acids is good to take if your pregnant, but to be careful about mercury levels. Do omega-3 fatty acid pills have any mercury in them? Can I just have my wife take those pills instead of eating fish?

I have a lazy dog. I asked his vet if there was something I could put him on to make him more active. That was when she told me about the omega 3 fatty acid. However, I cannot find anything on the internet to support what she said. Has anyone had any luck giving this to their dog, and can you point me in the right direction for info that supports her claim.

I searched in google and I found following fishes to be rich in omega 3

      Salmon
      Mackerel
      Pilchards
      Sardines

but I don’t think that any of these fishes are found in India…

So what fishes which are found in India are rich in omega 3, amino acids and fatty acids?

And also, what other vegetarian eating stuff is rich in omega 3, amino acids and fatty acids?

      Thanks in Advance!

I saw in Whole Foods a leafy green that was high in Omega 3 Fatty acids. It was a salad green with small leaves, and had an “l” in the name. What was it? Where can I get it?

I just bought omega 3 fatty acids fish oil from Finest Natural. It’s 1,000 mg per softgel. On the right it says EPA and DHA and on the bottom of that it says Total Omega-3 Fatty Acids 600 mg. They say I should take 2 capsules daily with meal. How many capsules should I really take to improve my memory?

I’m a vegetarian, and some of the major sources of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids I don’t eat. I know hemp seeds have both these fatty acids, but what are other sources?

I cannot eat seafood. I am allergic to a lot of it but I am pregnant and want to make sure I am getting the nutrients I need for my baby. I have heard Omega 3 helps brain development in your baby while pregnant. Is fish the only way to get it? Should I take an Omega 3 supplement? I am takinf a prenatal vitamin but I am not sure if it contains any Omega 3 fatty acids.

I realize that omega fatty acids are in general agreed to be good for you, but when i research them I find many studies are inconclusive/collide and the effects are still relatively unproven. So I ask, do you have the knowledge (have found valid research) that omega fatty supplements are worth the premium price they go for?

I don’t prefer to eat the yolk of an egg but I know eggs are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Are omega 3′s found in the egg whites?

I read on several websites that walnuts are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids. I suffer from manic depression and I would like to incorperate walnuts in my everyday diet.
I foresee myself getting very tired of walnuts, so I decided I’m going to make my own trailmix. What are some other good things I can use?

I have a very good diet mostly based off of fruit/vegetables. I try to eat very little processed food in my diet. I also take a calcium and omega fatty acid vitamin. On top of all that i drink green superfood(a powder that has similiar/same properties as fruits/vegetables. Recently i bought a multivitamin but i dont think i need it everyday. Is it okay if sometimes I skip?

I want to incorporate more of omega 3 fatty acids into my diet and am looking for foods that are the highest in it. I have access to a lot of salmon (daughter of a comercial fisherman) but I just want to know how many mg of it I need. Thank you in advance for your input!

After cooking the fish on a grill outside, then storing in the fridge, then microwaving the fish deplete it of its nutrients and more specifically omega 3 fatty acids? Is it better to eat vegatables raw or cooked?

I just took an omega fatty acid softgel with fiber and such in it. Can I take a calcium supplement pill (600 mg) after?
      Maybe it wasn’t 600 mg! I really don’t remember..
