Pinky Sweet Smoothie

2013-02-28

Pomegranate seeds are delicious and super healthy! Rich in vitamin K, fiber, potassium and heart-healthyantioxidants. But truth be told – those tiny juicy seeds are very tricky to pry free from a fresh pomegranate. Now there is an easy way to get pomegranate seeds year-round – all you have to do is open your freezer!…

Ingredients:

1 very ripe banana (for a thicker smoothie use a frozen banana)
1/2 cup frozen pomegranate seeds
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 1/2 cups vanilla soy milk

Blend. Serve. Sip. Smile.

I just recently added two males to my pet family. Looking for names that go together. The only thing I can think of is Pinky and Brain. So I’d love some more suggestions along those lines. Can be cartoons, real people, anything. Thanks!

I was re-reading it and it kind of sounds wrong, for some reason? Does anyone have any ideas? Or is it okay and I’m just being self-conscious?
Anyway… If anyone could point out why it sounds off, critique it, and find grammatical errors; I will love you forever.

“And we have to do this because?” Tracy whined, applying a third layer of her signature strawberry smoothie lip gloss to her lips. The sweet, crisp smell wafted through the air and into my nostrils. My mouth watered. Had it every smelt that good? I asked myself, but I already knew the answer. Of course it hadn’t. Everything smelt better if you knew it was your last time smelling it; from the Chinese-place-down-the-street-from-Blaire’s house’s empire chicken, which Blaire swore was made of cat meat (how she knew what cat meat tasted like, I didn’t want to know) to the unidentified, musty smell of the attic, nothing was the same. I guess the only time you really get to appreciate stuff is when you’re about to lose it. My theory didn’t explain, however, why the crackers looked so appetizing. They surely had Ritz brand in Sweet Springs; it couldn’t be as back-water Amish as Tracy thought it was.
“We just have to,” Blaire’s voice snapped from the speakers of my laptop. Her sharp voice jolted me out of my cracker trance… which I shouldn’t be having in the first place.
I nodded, “Blaire’s right, Tracy, with Adeline as a roommate, we need to get our stories straight. Who knows why she hasn’t told?”
“Or maybe she already has,” Blaire whispered, checking the cracked door of her dorm room then facing the camera again, “We can talk about that later, though. Her shower’s only going to last so long and we cannot afford to let her overhear this.”
“Agreed, just go slowish; I can only write so fast,” I said, flipping a new page of the purple notebook open and clicking the eraser of my pencil for more lead.
“Umm… Alright, where was I?” Blaire asked.
Next to me, Tracy twirled a lock of her dark blonde hair around her pinky finger, “Guys, I still don’t know about this.”
    “It’s fine,” Blaire insisted.
“What if she finds the notebook?”
“She won’t” I answered before Blaire could.
“Yeah,” Blaire scoffed, “Do you think she’s going to find it in Kansas City? We’re not even let off campus, so how in the world will she get twenty miles off campus?”
“Still-” She twisted the bit of hair even harder, until it turned the tip of her pinky finger bright red.
I tapped her shoulder and looked into her wide eyes, “If you want, you can hide it, okay? We just need to get this done- Blaire, you were talking about what we had for dinner that day?”
Blaire nodded in response and started her story again where we left off. At some point, the cramps in my hands turned to aches and disappeared altogether. Her words did the same, morphing into a day dream, like it was my own memory, not hers. And in all reality, the first part of her story was my memory; we both had experienced it.

    Thanks in advance!

I just bought a new hamsters & I was wondering if it’s OK to feed it pomegranate seeds.
I know that some seeds aren’t good for them & I don’t want to give it anything dangerous.

I love pomegranate, but I always spit out the seed but sometimes I accidentally swallow the seed. I was wondering if they are good for you to eat and what kind of benefits(if any) does the seed have,

Should I avoid swallowing them or is it ok?
