Pretty in Pink Grapefruit Smoothie

Nuvita Biscuits

This Pretty in Pink Grapefruit Smoothie will leave you feeling fabulous. I call it the power of pink. Grab this frosty grapefruit-infused sip on a sunny afternoon and you’ll find yourself in a zing-y pink paradise. Give this recipe a try..

Extra Pink. Extra Fabulous. This smoothie has it all. Berries, grapefruit juice – fiber, antioxidants and fun. Loads of vitamin C and potassium – plenty of fresh fruit nutrients. If you love zesty-sweet flavors, you’ll love this sip.

Pink and White. I used a blend of ruby red (pink) and white flesh grapefruit juice for this smoothie. I find white grapefruits are a tad less zesty and refreshingly sweet. You can use a blend or just one variety – either way will be yummy.

And what girl wouldn’t love to go soaking in the sunshine while sippin’ on a sweet pink drink? Pink power for your sunshine filled day.

Kid Tip! For milder taste buds, sub half the grapefruit juice with fresh orange juice.

1  cup freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice
1/2 cup white grapefruit juice (or more pink)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup ice
2 bananas (fresh or frozen)

Blend. Pour. Garnish with fresh fruit. Sip. Smile!

please, read all of this, and answer with a reasonable, and good response. if you are going to give me mean, and rude comments, and answers that will not help me, then don’t bother to answer. thanks so much, and i am sorry if i came of rude…

okay, i want to look really good before december. i am already pretty, so i don’t need to improve really anything looks wise. first thing, is my body. i am not fat, and i am not anorexic looking either. i want a VS PINK model body. i am 5’7′ and 1/2, and the doctor said i will be anywhere between 5’9′ and 1/2 to 5’10. i am only 14 too. anyways, what exercise do i need to do in the cardio area, and then what types of weight lifting do i need to do? i want their really thin, skinny body, and lean muscles. next, i have a few breakouts on my face, nothing major. i bought that neutragena grapefruit cream cleanser, and i have the last two proactive steps. i also got that clean and clear, spot treatment. will that help clear them up? has anyone used the grapefruit cream cleanser? i am going to start using the tanning bed a little. i know, i know, they are bad for your skin, but i will not be using them but a few times a month. i just want to even my skin tone out, and get a little color. how long should i stay in the tanning bed to achieve this? how can i make my skin soft, and shiny like the VS PINK models? and, if i go from 1600 calories a day, down to about 800 is that bad? i think that it will help me lose weight, so… i am also trying to grow my hair out. i have it about 2- 3 inches below my shoulders. how can i get it to grow longer? i already take a biotin vitamin, so, any other things i can do? anything else you want to add to help me in my appearance, and confidence feel free to add them. thanks so much for answering !

Okay well I’m staying vegan but this is what I’m going to be eating now as it’s all I can afford at the moment due to a significant drop in income.

Breakfast: Protein shake made of 1 banana; 6 ice cubes; 1 cup of rice milk and a heaped teaspoon of golden pea protein powder blended together.

    Snack: Almonds

Lunch: Salad made of lettuce (mixture of different kinds); cucumber; tomato; avocado and sunflower/sesame seeds

    Snack: Carrot(s)

Dinner: Green smoothie of baby spinach (or another green); chia seed and two pieces of fruit (mango/banana/passionfruit/kiwifruit etc)

Supplements: Seaweed (ground really high in calcium; boron; magnesium; iodine); spirulina; vitamin B complex; vitamin B12; selenium; zinc

That’s a significant change from what I usually eat but it’s all I can afford. Is it healthy and if not what should I change??

I read of various sites that grapefruit juice may help your chances of getting pregnant. Has anyone used this method, how much did you drink and how many days before the fertile time– any information would be greatly appreciated.

I take a medication that requires me to stay away from grapefruit juice b/c it interacts badly with my medication. Well, there is this juice I wanna try and when I looked at the ingredients it contained passion fruit juice and I wasn’t sure if that was the same thing as grapefruit juice or if they are very similar or even completely different. Any answers would be nice. I don’t want to drink the juice without knowing.

My mom used to be on a grapefruit juice diet, and I recently discovered that I like grapefruit juice. What are the benefits of drinking it?

I’ve heared that drinking grapefruit juice can be hazardous when taking certain medications due to it amplifying the effect and causing toxicity to the body. However I can’t find any website that states weather it is safe to take with natural supplements like vitamin pills/ milk thistle etc.

If anyone could shed some light on this for me it would be appreciated!

I’ve heard that grape fruit can mess with certian medications, but I love grapefruit juice and it has alot of good things in it, so is it safe?

Real grapefruit juice has been great. There is nothing like the thirst quenching tartness of white grapefruit juice and it used to be a regular item. Now I can’t find it anywhere and all the major brands have replaced it with pink grapefruit. Pink grapefruit taste like a weakened., sugared up version of the true stuff.

Who is still making white grapefruit juice?

I know that it is probably a bad idea to take high blood pressure medicine with grapefruit juice, I was wondering if maybe an hour later or more if it would harm anything.

I’ve been on birth control for about 6 months, and I want to drink grapefruit juice for 4 days. It will just be a one time thing. Is there a risk that I could get pregnant just by drinking it during the 4 days? Any experts on this? Thanks.

My husband is 65 and eats 4 eggs with bacon, and a large glass of grapefruit juice, 3 days a week. I am worried about him, but he says it won’t hurt him. Can you give me more information to convince him he is harming himself?

I drink about a litre, perhaps more, of grapefruit juice a day. When I started I didn’t really know about any health benefits.. I later heard about the grapefruit diet… Does grapefruit help or hinder your health? I know it can be bad if you are on meds for heart conditions, which I am not.

I dont understand what it does. On widipedia it says this “Grapefruit or grapefruit juice- Significantly increases the plasma levels of buspirone. The probable mechanism of this interaction caused by grapefruit juice is delayed gastric emptying and inhibition of the cytochrome P450 3A4-mediated first-pass metabolism of buspirone.” I dont understand what that means, does it increase the effects? can someone break it down simpler please thank you.
